PartnerRe announced the appointment of Sima Ruparelia as chief actuarial and risk officer, effective June 27.

Ruparelia, who will be based in London, will be responsible for risk and capital; nonlife reserving and pricing; and second-line life reserving. She will report to President and Chief Executive Jacques Bonneau and will join the executive leadership team.

Previously, Ruparelia held the role of chief actuary and portfolio manager for Talbot AIG from 2016-21.

Prior to that, she served as group actuary for Catlin; U.K. chief actuary for XL Catlin; and held actuarial positions at Ernst and Young, Equitas, and Pinnacle Insurance.
