OneTrust has hired Jisha Dymond, who most recently led Twitter’s regulatory compliance and risk team, to be its new chief ethics and compliance officer.
Dymond made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying that as she moved on from Twitter, “I wanted to make sure I was going to a place that directly impacted people’s lives and our culture.”
At OneTrust, Dymond will head the firm’s internal ethics and compliance team and report directly to Kim Rivera, the company’s chief legal and business affairs officer.
“OneTrust’s belief that what’s good for people and the planet is ultimately good for business is something I’ve embraced for a long time,” Dymond said in a statement released by OneTrust. “The company leads by example, and a strong ethics and compliance program plays an important role in this vision since it enables our employees to act with integrity and drive responsible innovation. I’m excited about joining OneTrust to drive ethics and compliance into the foundation of how we meet our goals.”
OneTrust is a software provider whose platform “connects privacy; GRC, ethics, and ESG teams; data; and processes” in ways that help its customers ”put trust at the center of their operations and culture.”
According to her LinkedIn profile and a spokesperson for OneTrust, Dymond was at Twitter for three years, most recently as head of regulatory compliance and risk. She also held in-house legal, compliance, and risk roles at Sculptor Capital and JPMorgan. Dymond spent a decade as an attorney in private practice with the firm Genova Burns, where she advised companies on compliance and risk matters.
Dymond has a law degree from New York Law School and a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University.
Twitter has undergone a massive internal change since it was purchased by billionaire Elon Musk in October, with news reports stating Musk has laid off half of all employees. In August, a whistleblower employee said Twitter’s poor cybersecurity practices invited breaches and manipulation of the platform.
