MDU Resources Group board of directors has approved the appointment of Anthony Foti as chief legal officer and corporate secretary, effective Oct. 7.

Foti will report directly to MDU Resources president and CEO Nicole Kivisto.

He most recently served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel, and corporate secretary at Foot Locker. He has prior experience practicing corporate and securities law at Dentons US, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.
