Maybank announced the promotion of Deputy Group Chief Risk Officer Mohamed Rezwan Abdullah Ismail to group chief risk officer.

Ismail will report to Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli, president and group chief executive, and join the group executive committee.

His career started with 19 years of service at Bank Negara Malaysia, where he last served as the director of financial conglomerates supervision.

Thereafter, he served as chief risk and compliance officer for Lembaga Tabung Haji, chief risk officer at Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, chief risk and compliance officer at Maybank Group’s Etiqa International Holdings, and previous title with Maybank.
