Lam Research, a global supplier of innovative wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry, announced that Ava Harter has joined its executive leadership team as senior vice president and chief legal officer.

Harter will report to Tim Archer, president and chief executive.

She most recently served as executive vice president and chief legal officer at Whirlpool Corporation. Previously, she served as general counsel at Owens Corning and held substantial legal roles at General Electric and Dow Chemical.
