Financial services company First Foundation announced Hugo Nuño will serve in the newly created role of executive vice president, chief banking officer.
Nuño has served as the company’s chief risk officer since 2012. In his new role, he will continue to have executive oversight of risk management, compliance, and Bank Secrecy Act, in addition to overseeing central operations services.
Nuño joined First Foundation in September 2009. He previously served as vice president, compliance manager between September 2009 and November 2010; as senior vice president, retail operations and compliance between November 2010 and January 2012; as chief risk officer between January 2012 and October 2014; and as executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief risk officer between October 2014 and January 2017.
Marsha Vick, who joined the bank in September 2017, will assume the role of senior vice president, chief risk officer. She was promoted to director of audit in April. Vick will continue to report to Nuño.
