Deutsche Bank announced the appointment of Jörg Eigendorf as chief sustainability officer, effective Sept. 1.
As global head of communications and corporate social responsibility, Eigendorf has played part in shaping the bank’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy over a number of years. He will continue to report to Chief Executive Christian Sewing.
Eigendorf will hand over leadership of communications and corporate social responsibility to Anke Hallmann and Sebastian Jost, with the bank’s political affairs and communications and corporate social responsibility departments merging to form corporate affairs and strategy.
Heading up the new area will be Ben Alka, who will also continue in his role as chief of staff to Sewing.
