Centivo, a health plan for self-funded employers, announced the appointment of Tara Johnson as general counsel.
With 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Johnson will lead the company’s legal function and advise on all legal matters, including commercial contracting, data privacy, and regulatory and compliance. She will report to Chief Business Officer Stuart Roth.
Johnson previously held several legal positions of increasing responsibility at UnitedHealthcare, most recently as senior associate general counsel, director regulatory affairs. In prior roles with UnitedHealthcare, she supported third-party administrator subsidiary UMR, provider operations, and payment integrity/special investigations.
She also previously held several key legal and business positions at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.
