Software as a service company Bitly announced the appointment of Kelly Zitzmann as general counsel as part of an expansion of its leadership team.

Zitzmann will be responsible for corporate governance, data privacy, global legal and regulatory compliance, and contracts and litigation.

She is tasked with putting in motion new or improved processes for compliance and protection. She will also serve as the primary liaison to external law firms.

She previously held chief of legal and general counsel roles with Smartly.io, Axiom, and Erie Plastics, according to her LinkedIn profile.
