Bank of China announced the appointment of Zhao Rang as its chief risk officer.

Rang was most recently the chief business and management officer of the bank. She had joined in 1998.

Earlier, she served as general manager of the Shanghai branch of the bank, and executive vice president of Shanghai RMB Trading Unit. Zhao also served as general manager of the executive office and spokesman of the bank.

Prior to that, she served successively as deputy general manager of the executive office, director of personal banking department, and deputy general manager (wealth management) of the personal banking unit.
