Accounting firm Grant Thornton has appointed Paul Peterson as a national forensic and investigations director for Grant Thornton China, effective Jan. 28.
Peterson will serve on this two-year assignment to help companies address a range of risks and coordinate compliance and investigative services, including enhancing and monitoring anti-corruption compliance programs; mergers and acquisitions compliance due diligence; and FCPA and forensic accounting investigations.
In his new role, Peterson will focus on fraud investigations, global anti-corruption, litigation support and consulting services related to anti-fraud programs and controls. He has over eight years of experience as an auditor, responsible for financial audits for public and private companies, control reviews, and regulatory compliance audits.
