The SEC announced today that George S. Canellos has been been named Deputy Director of the Division of Enforcement. Canellos is currently Director of the SEC’s New York Regional Office. Canellos fills the Deputy Director position vacated in early 2012 when Lorin Reisner left the SEC to become the chief of the criminal division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
