Former SEC Chief Accountant Lynn Turner has been named senior advisor and managing director in the forensic accounting practice of LECG. He will be located in the firm's San Francisco office.

During his tenure at the SEC, Turner was a leading advocate of auditor independence rules and international accounting and auditing standards, and has been a sought-after speaker and advisor on corporate governance and financial regulatory issues. Prior to the SEC, he spent 20 years with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), where he was national SEC review partner and head of its national high-technology audit practice.
