Textron, a multi-industry company that provides innovative services and solutions to a global network of aircraft, defense, industrial and finance businesses, has elected James Conway to its board of directors, effective as of April 27. Conway is a retired United States Marine Corps four-star general.
Among Conway's previous postings were director of operations on the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Commanding General of 1st Marine Division and I Marine Expeditionary Force, taking part in the 2003 invasion of Iraq and First Battle of Fallujah. In October 2010, he turned the position over to James Amos, his assistant commandant.
