Dickstein Shapiro, a multi-service law firm with more than 400 attorneys in Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles, has hired Stacey Mobley as senior counsel in its Washington, D.C. office.

Mobley will serve the firm in an advisory capacity working closely with the State Attorneys General Practice and with various firm clients on matters of high-level strategic opportunity. He also joins the firm's Diversity Committee and will be integral to the advancement of the firm's diversity initiatives.

Mobley, the first African American attorney at E.I. duPont Nemours and Co., was named a senior vice president in 1992 and served as general counsel and chief administrative officer from 1999 until his retirement earlier this year. He joined DuPont's legal department in 1972 and served in numerous leadership capacities including as director of the company's Washington, D.C., federal affairs office, and as vice president of external affairs.

He currently serves on the boards of directors of Howard University, International Paper Company, Wilmington Trust Corp., and Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited.
