Amber Road, a provider of global trade management solutions, announced that Flextronics, an electronics manufacturing services provider, selected its Restricted Party Screening On-Demand solution to automate the screening of partners, customers and vendors.

RPS On-Demand is a hosted, Web-based application that helps companies avoid doing business with sanctioned parties.  Sanctioned parties are individuals or companies that have been placed on debarred lists by government institutions around the world.   By using Amber Road's highly configurable, automated solution, companies can quickly screen their customers, suppliers and other trading partners against over 200 restricted party lists worldwide.

Flextronics' objective is to maintain a low export risk profile while expediting screening. With a global network consisting of more than 30 countries on four continents, Flextronics needed an improved solution for global denied party and embargo screening, global export license determination, and ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) validation in order to  preserve a high compliance rate.

“Amber Road's RPS On-Demand was the solution that best fit our needs,” said Tim Seitz, senior vice president, global tax and trade at Flextronics. “Because of the solution's high-speed processing times, accuracy rates, user configuration features, robust reporting, and audit capabilities, we feel confident that Amber Road is the right choice.”

RPS On-Demand will support users globally and integrate with Flextronics' ERP system. The solution will help simplify audit processes through maintaining a complete history of actions performed on a given customer or supplier record. In addition, automated alerts will allow users to focus on other tasks, while ensuring compliance.
