First Citizens Bank Names Chief Risk Officer

First Citizens Bank has appointed Blake Coules as chief risk officer. He will report to CEO Frank Holding and the risk committee.

In his new role, Coules is responsible for administering the enterprise-wide risk management process to address risk across the bank. He also oversees the bank's compliance, credit risk, operational risk, and risk analytics functions. .

With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily in the risk and credit areas, Coules joins First Citizens from VantageSouth Bank, where he was chief credit officer.
