Navigant has hired Alma Angotti, a veteran senior financial regulations expert, as a director in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. The addition of Angotti strengthens the firm's capabilities in the areas of anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and other regulatory matters, including investigations, training, and compliance.

During her 25-year tenure, Angotti has held senior positions at the Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.  At FINRA, Angotti had primary responsibility for AML policy and broker-dealer compliance with FINRA and SEC AML rules.

She also has designed and conducted AML training for FINRA staff, other regulators, and the financial services industry, both domestically and internationally. Alma has advised non-U.S. governments on AML issues and served as a FINRA representative on several inter-agency AML groups.
