The Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation, known as Farmer Mac, has appointed Stephen Mullery as general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president, effective as of June 8. He assumes this position from Jerome Oslick, who is retiring after 18 years with the company. Oslick will continue to serve in an advisory capacity for the remainder of 2012.

Prior to his new role, Mullery served as deputy general counsel at Farmer Mac since October 2009 and as assistant general counsel for nine years before that.

Before joining the company in 2000, Mullery served as an associate for five years at law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
