Energizer Holdings, a consumer goods company, has appointed Daniel Heinrich to its board of directors, effective as of April 30. He also has been appointed to the nominating and executive compensation committee.

Heinrich, who has more than 34 years of experience in consumer products and financial management, most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Clorox Company. In previous years, while working for Clorox from 2001 to 2011, he also served as vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer.

From October 1996 to February 2001, he served as senior vice president and treasurer at Transamerica Corporation. Prior to that, he served for 10 years in the financial services group at Ford Motor Company in various capacities, including senior vice president and controller of Ford's banking subsidiary and as senior vice president, treasurer, and controller of Granite Management Corporation. He began his career at Ernst & Young, where he spent over eight years in both audit and tax roles.

The addition of Heinrich increases the Energizer Holdings' board to 10 directors, nine of whom are independent.
