EADS, the $52 billion European aerospace group has appointed Pedro Montoya as chief compliance officer of its newly established compliance organization.

In this new role, Montoya will be responsible for structuring and implementing a re-designed EADS ethics and compliance program. He will report to EADS CEO Louis Gallois and have direct access to the EADS board and audit committee.

Montoya joined the EADS Group in 2000 as vice president, head of contracts, litigation and intellectual property, prior to being appointed general counsel for EADS International in 2006.
