Power generation company, Dynegy, has hired Catherine Callaway as executive vice president and general counsel, effective Sept. 26. She will serve on Dynegy's executive management team and report to President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Flexon.

Callaway will be responsible for managing all legal affairs, including legal services supporting Dynegy's operational, commercial and corporate areas, as well as ethics and compliance. In addition, she will be immediately involved in the restructuring efforts currently underway at the company.

Callaway has served as general counsel for NRG Gulf Coast and Reliant Energy since August 2011. She also served as general counsel for NRG Texas and Reliant Energy from August 2010 to August 2011 and general counsel for NRG Texas from November 2007 to August 2010. Prior to joining NRG, Callaway held various key legal roles at Calpine Corporation; Reliant Energy; The Coastal Corporation; and Chevron.
