$3.1 billion DynCorp International announced that Curtis Schehr has been terminated "without cause" from his positions as senior vice president, general counsel, and chief compliance officer.

His termination from the military contractor follows a Nov. 9 filing with the SEC in which the company said it had identified roughly $300,000 in certain payments, which had been "made to expedite the issuance of a limited number of visas and licenses from foreign government agencies that may raise compliance issues under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act."

The payments were made to sub-contractors "in connection with servicing a single existing task order that the company has with a U.S. government agency," the company said. At that time, DynCorp said it had retained outside counsel to investigate the payments and also notified the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Justice Department after discovering the problem.
