Dominion announced that James Stutts, senior vice president and general counsel, will retire from the company, effective Jan. 1, 2011. He has been with the company for 13 years.

Upon Stutts' retirement, Robert Blue will be appointed as senior vice president of law, public policy & environment. Currently, Blue is senior vice president of only public policy & environment. Carter Reid, who joined Dominion in 2005, will become general counsel, in addition to his current roles as vice president of governance and corporate secretary.

In Reid's capacity as corporate secretary, he will continue to report to Chairman, President and CEO, Thomas Farrell. As general counsel, Blue also will continue to report directly to Farrell.
