Transparency International-USA (TI-USA) has named Fredrick Curry, a principal of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, to its board of directors for a three-year term.

TI-USA is the United States chapter of Transparency International, the anti-corruption civil society organization which has more than 90 chapters worldwide. Founded in 1993 as a non-profit organization, TI-USA works domestically and abroad for greater transparency, accountability and integrity in business, government and development assistance. 

Curry is a member of Deloitte's anti-money laundering and economic trade sanctions practice in Washington, D.C. He specializes in advising senior executives and board directors of global financial institutions on compliance programs and responses to regulatory enforcement actions, and criminal investigations in the anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) areas.

Earlier in his career, Curry served as examiner-in-charge at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  He was responsible for planning, supervising and conducting comprehensive safety and soundness and anti-money laundering examinations of domestic and international banks. A certified anti-money laundering specialist, Curry has instructed federal and state bank examiners on advanced anti-money laundering examination techniques at the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.

In 2001, Curry founded The Sirius Foundation, a non-profit organization that has awarded annual scholarships to high-achieving African American women aspiring to careers in business since its inception.
