Law firm Debevoise & Plimpton has named Mary Beth Hogan as co-chair of the litigation department. Hogan will work closely with John Kiernan, who co-chaired the department with Mary Jo White, who was recently named chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Hogan's practice focuses on white collar, regulatory and employment actions as well as internal investigations and commercial litigation.  She represents companies, boards, law firms and individuals in civil and regulatory proceedings involving federal and state regulators and private litigants in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitrations.

In the past several years, her work has focused on various aspects of the mortgage industry, including servicing, fair lending and securitizations. She has handled a wide range of high-profile matters for clients that include JPMorgan Chase, UBS Financial Services, Owens Corning, The Carlyle Group, Syracuse University and many others.
