$5.6 billion DaVita, a provider of kidney care services, has hired Kim Rivera as the new vice president, general counsel, and secretary of the company. She will report to Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry.

With over 15 years of experience in corporate law, litigation, and compliance, Rivera since 2006 has served as vice president and associate general counsel to The Clorox Company, overseeing its global compliance program, delivery of legal services to its international businesses, as well as employment counseling and litigation worldwide.

Previously, Rivera served as general counsel to Rockwell Automation's Automation Control and Information Group, as well as vice president of law and chief litigation counsel to Rockwell.
