Compliance consultancy Cordium has appointed Peter Guarino and Vivek Pingili as vice presidents of the firm.

Guarino will join the firm's Boston office, where he will lead the mutual fund division. Guarino joins Cordium with nearly 30 years of experience as chief compliance officer and in-house counsel. Most recently, he served as CCO at advisory firm Timberline Asset Management. Prior to that, he founded IM Compliance, providing independent fund and adviser services. Guarino also has served as general counsel for MiFund, and as the U.S.-based CCO for the G.T. Global Funds.

Pingili, who will join Cordium's New York office, comes to the firm from law firm Proskauer Rose, where he supported private investment fund managers on a range of regulatory compliance issues. He has specialized in compliance in the alternative investments industry throughout his decade-long career in law firm and in-house positions.

Both Guarino and Pingili will report to Patrick Shea, managing director and partner.
