Cooper-Standard Holdings, a global supplier of automotive sealing, fuel and brake, and fluid transfer systems, has appointed Aleksandra Miziolek as vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective Feb. 3, 2014. She will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Edwards, and join the company's global leadership team.

Miziolek will succeed Timothy Hefferon, who is retiring after serving as Cooper Standard's vice president, general counsel and secretary since 2004. He will continue as a senior legal officer on a transitional basis until June 2014.

Miziolek will join Cooper Standard from law firm Dykema Gossett, where she is the director of Dykema's Automotive Industry Group. In this capacity, Miziolek has established a practice that focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and SEC disclosure matters, primarily for companies in the automotive and transportation industries.
