Control Risks, a risk consultancy firm, has named Greg Esslinger, a former FBI Special Agent with broad international experience, as leader of its combined corporate investigations and legal technologies businesses in the Americas.

Esslinger brings decades of experience leading investigations into fraud, money laundering, sanctions violations, FCPA and other sensitive matters on every continent for the federal government and the private sector. At Control Risks, he will be responsible for directing the firm's multi-jurisdictional investigations and litigation support in North and South America, where anti-corruption, regulatory risk, and data protection issues have been undergoing dramatic change in recent years.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Esslinger was a senior managing director at FTI Consulting, where he led the group's global anti-corruption, compliance, and ethics group. Previously, Esslinger spent five years as a Special Agent with the FBI, where he conducted international terrorism and terrorist financing investigations in which he worked extensively overseas with foreign intelligence and law enforcement services.
