$21.2 billion Constellation Energy Group has appointed Charles Berardesco as its new general counsel. He will replace Irving Yoskowitz, who is retiring.

Berardesco previously served as vice president, deputy general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary for Constellation.

In other news, the company has appointed Jonathan Thayer as chief financial officer, replacing John Collins, who stepped down from the post. Thayer, who had served as the vice president and managing director for corporate strategy and development for Constellation, was appointed treasurer in August.

Both appointment changes come one month after the Baltimore energy giant agreed to be acquired in a $4.7 billion deal by Iowa-based MidAmerican Energy Holding Co., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
