The Compliance Week Europe conference is gearing up for action later this fall, so before you European compliance professionals take the summer off, take note—we are looking for speakers again!
This is the second annual Compliance Week Europe conference, happening Oct. 13-14 in Brussels. Our inaugural Europe conference last year had more than 130 attendees, and we expect to have considerably more in 2014. You can see our agenda on the Europe conference website, with some great topics: giving key performance indicators to the board, working with state-owned companies, building privacy-by-design controls for customer data, and much more.
We also have an early group of speakers who are some of the most thoughtful and experienced compliance executives working in the region today: senior ethics & compliance executives from companies such as Tesco, CPA Global, Parexel, International Paper, Alcatel-Lucent, AES Corp., Akbank, and elsewhere.
That said, the mission of every Compliance Week conference is to bring together even more working, in-house corporate compliance executives, to talk about the problems you all face and how you are solving them—so we need even more people who enjoy talking about ethics & compliance and who want to help the profession.
The rules are as follows:
You must be an in-house ethics, compliance, audit, risk, or privacy executive working and living in Britain or Europe. Your parent company can be based in Europe, the United States, or anywhere else, but you personally must be in Europe, running compliance programs in that part of the world.
Speakers are responsible for their own travel and lodging costs. In exchange, we waive the registration fee so that you can attend the conference itself at no charge.
Those are all the rules we have. We simply want to find thoughtful speakers who have something interesting to say about managing ethics & compliance programs in Europe. We welcome anyone who wants to speak about one of the specific sessions on our agenda; or if you see an important topic not listed, please let us know and we will consider adding it and letting you speak on that subject.
