Amber Road, a provider of global water technology, announced that global water technology company Xylem implemented its Export On-Demand solution to automate all aspects of export compliance for 300 worldwide users across 150 countries.

Xylem implemented Export On-Demand, a cloud-based system, with five separate ERP systems across its global business units in fewer than three weeks. The flexible, on-demand solution covers all key export compliance capabilities, including maintaining reference data, screening trade parties, producing documentation and providing audit trails.

Before implementing Export On-Demand, Xylem relied on a semi-automated process for screening customers, vendors and partners against the various government-issued restricted party lists. With its diverse business groups, however, Xylem needed a simple to use, flexible, fully automated screening solution that also managed its export and import data and could be deployed quickly without costly software or hardware.

“We needed a user friendly, automated solution that could connect to multiple systems, expand as we grow our business and allow us to continuously screen entities,” said Charles Mooney, Xylem's director of trade compliance. “With Export On-Demand, we have removed redundancies in our compliance process because we no longer have to screen individual customers.”

Export On-Demand's flexibility allows Xylem to manage, add or delete users as needed; create a more comprehensive screening process; and provide global 24x7 export compliance support to users, including trade compliance professionals, shipping, customer service, IT, and human resources.
