Adam Gale has joined the international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke as counsel in the corporate practice. He will be located in the firm’s New York office.

Gale will focus on providing regulatory and compliance advice to, and formation and structuring of, hedge funds, private equity funds, broker-dealers, and registered investment companies, and he will represent start-ups and existing companies.

Gale joins Chadbourne from the New York office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. At Orrick, Gale was a member of that firm's Private Investment Funds Group and the Market Regulation Group, serving as of counsel.

Prior to joining Orrick, he was senior counsel at The Bank of New York, advising the bank's hedge fund, investment adviser and broker-dealer subsidiaries on regulatory and compliance issues. He also worked at Debevoise & Plimpton for 10 years, focusing on regulatory and compliance matters, SEC investigations, and securities litigation.
