After taking into consideration the global, long-term needs of the organization, CFA said it will be eliminating the role of senior managing director. Consequently, current senior managing director, Robert Johnson, will be leaving the organization on Oct. 21.

CFA Institute is best known for the globally-recognized Chartered Financial Analyst Program, other education and credentialing programs, as well as its advocacy for fair and efficient financial markets.

The Leadership Team of CFA Institute is composed of John Rogers, CFA, President and Chief Executive Officer, with ten managing directors who oversee various aspects of the organization's worldwide activities through operational hubs in New York, London, Brussels, and Hong Kong, in addition to Charlottesville.  The organization has more than 100,000 members and 200,000 CFA Program candidates in 135 countries.
