Global wealth management firm, Barclays Wealth, has announced two senior hires for the Americas, as it continues to expand in the region. Donald Gershuny has joined as a managing director and general counsel, Americas; Peter Reynolds has joined as a managing director and chief risk officer, Americas.

Gershuny brings to his role broad regulatory and banking experience, accumulated over four decades in financial services including 34 years at Merrill Lynch. Most recently, he served as general counsel for Global Wealth Management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In that position, Gershuny was responsible for all legal, regulatory and compliance services for wealth management. Previously, Gershuny held several senior roles at the firm including international general counsel, responsible for legal, compliance and regulatory affairs for wealth management, capital markets, commercial and investment banking in over 40 countries.

Reynolds has a wide range of banking and regulatory experience, focused on risk. For the past three years, he served as head of regulatory risk and compliance for RBS Americas. Prior to that, he worked at Citigroup for a decade in several risk positions including global head of risk and control for the private bank. He also helped to oversee Citigroup risk Management's regulatory relationships and led the risk integration of KorAm Bank in Asia.
