Baker & McKenzie has appointed former U.S. Department of Justice attorney Jonathan Poling as partner. Poling will work on with the international trade compliance practice, handling complex and international export control matters and trade-related investigations and prosecutions.

Previously, Poling served as a trial attorney with the DOJ's national security division, counterespionage section, prosecuting export control, counter proliferation and trade-related cases.

Prior to joining the Justice Department in 2008, Poling was an associate at law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. During his time here, he worked for Hon. William Webster, former director of the CIA and FBI.
