Anthera Pharmaceuticals Appoints New Board Member

Anthera Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Brian Mueller to its board of directors and as chairman of the audit committee. 

Mueller is group corporate controller and chief accounting officer of biopharmaceutical company BioMarin Pharmaceutical, where he has been since 2002. Prior to BioMarin, Mueller spent a combination of seven years in public accounting at Arthur Andersen and KPMG.

With the appointment of Mueller, Daniel Spiegelman, who joined Anthera's board of directors in 2010, resigned from the board and as audit committee chairman.
