Actiance, a unified communications solutions provider, has released its Vantage app on salesforce.com's AppExchange, empowering businesses to connect with customers, partners and employees in entirely new ways.

The application allows companies to achieve the productivity benefits of Chatter while complying with regulatory, corporate governance and legal discovery requirements with Vantage's control, monitoring and retention tools.

Vantage captures and natively stores the content and context associated with each action and update, including comments that were posted and later deleted, all without converting the event into an e-mail. This lowers the cost of employee supervision and legal discovery as the conversation is preserved in its entirety, making it easier to find.

Vantage also provides granular controls to capture certain people or groups only, such as customer support reps, decreasing the risk of over-archiving, while providing rich set of compliance alerts to detect when certain content such as sensitive customer information is inadvertently posted. This ultimately enables rapid creation and distribution of content and materials both inside and outside of an organization, with the confidence that compliance requirements are being met.

Built on the Salesforce Platform, a cloud platform for social and mobile business apps, the Vantage app will be available soon on the AppExchange.
