Actiance, a provider of end-to-end social business governance for the enterprise, and Shoutlet, an independent cloud-based social relationship platform provider, has announced a partnership that integrates Shoutlet's social marketing capabilities with Actiance Socialite, and its governance platform.

This partnership allows organizations to scale social media across their workforce, and allow employees to communicate, collaborate, and realize the benefits of social media, while meeting the strictest compliance and information governance requirements.

Shoutlet's API-based integration with Actiance Socialite helps mitigate these risks by giving organizations the ability to efficiently control, monitor, and capture Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter content and activities posted by users on the Shoutlet platform. This allows organizations to comply with industry regulations and corporate governance policies.

To initiate compliance, a Shoutlet user simply authorizes Socialite with account access. Content—such as comments, replies and re-tweets—is then captured as it is created, edited, and deleted, while preserving the social context. Captured content is monitored by Socialite for key words, expressions, and phrases to help ensure compliance with an organization's policies for acceptable use and information security. If a user revokes authorization, or if authorization fails, Socialite can alert the appropriate line managers that a user is no longer in compliance with company policies.

Furthermore, in line with industry regulations and the principles of good corporate governance, captured content can be sent to long-term storage in Alcatraz, Actiance's cloud-based archive that allows review of social conversation with context. Moreover, social media conversations can be reviewed in Alcatraz alongside e-mail, instant messages, unified communications, and enterprise social content captured by Actiance in a contextual way that mimics the original chronology and format. Overall, Alcatraz makes e-discovery easier, faster, and more cost-effective by allowing organizations to archive, find, and review content with greater accuracy and confidence.
