A study of internal control and disclosure control assessments (and auditor opinions) at nearly 300 companies with Dec. 31 fiscal year ends and 2005 sales exceeding $1 billion. Only 2.1 percent of the companies analyzed disclosed a material weakness in their internal control over financial reporting. Over 10 percent had "exclusions" to their assessments.
